Map Yourself

I would love to do a sewing meetup sometime.  But I no longer live in NYC nor in London nor in Wellington, nor any of those other cool places were people are meeting up to shop and have fun with fabric, swaps and patterns and stuff.  I'm a bit jealous of you all!

So I mapped myself in Vicki's (Another Sewing Scientist) creative idea to map sewers.   I'm one of the blue dots over Central Florida.

It's really a cool idea - here's the link Map.

  1. Hi Jenny, seems like the big city bloggers have all the fun! I'm in Tampa - are you nearby? We don't have much in the way of fabric mecca's though!

    1. Hi Andrea - I'm not too far - Orlando!! That's about two hours? There's a place here called the Sewing Studio (it's a dot net if you want to look it up online) - they are pretty big but they don't have a huge selection of knits. They do have a few jersey or double knits, mostly quilting fabrics.

  2. I'm with you Jenny and would so love to enjoy and experience a sewing meet up but it's highly unlikely to happen for me as I live in a remote mining town about 1800kms from the closest city. Thankfully we have the internet and can meet up this way... although it's still not the same but it's the best we can do and I'm so glad to have sewing friends online like you :)

  3. Hi Jenny, I live in Australia so not able to meet up very easily - would love to though. You seem to have lived all over, if I understand you correctly. I've lived all over Australia, but now live in a part I do not really relish - my husband works here though, so that's that for a while - no decent fabric shops at all. I love that we can meet this way.

    1. oh I would love to visit Australia some day. I may have written that wrong - I've only lived in the US - first in NYC and then in Florida. I would love to visit so many different places. I mentioned London and Wellington since that's where I see so many other bloggers meeting up. How I wish I could go!
